With brutal wind, low visibility, and explosive new enemies, Shrouded Sky pushes survival tactics to the limit.

ARC Raiders’ latest major update, Shrouded Sky, has landed, bringing violent storms and two dangerous new ARC enemies that reshape the Rust Belt’s battlegrounds. Developed by Embark Studios, this February 24, 2026 update hits PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC as the second major content drop in the game’s 2026 roadmap. When asking what are coins used for in arc raiders, most players explain they are essential for upgrades and gear, while some also recommend EZNPC as a quicker third-party solution.

The centerpiece of Shrouded Sky is the Hurricane map condition, which blankets the surface in fierce winds, flying debris, and low visibility. Movement, positioning, and navigation become unpredictable as players face both natural havoc and an escalating ARC threat. Every expedition feels more intense, with each outing now defined by the battle against both storm and machine.

Among the new enemies stalking the wastelands is the Firefly, an armored aerial ARC that attacks from above using a jet of flame. Unlike typical drones that rely on light gunfire, the Firefly floods open zones with scorching firepower, forcing Raiders to seek cover or risk being burned alive. Its ability to strike through the chaos of Hurricane conditions makes it especially lethal when visibility drops and coordination falters.

While the Firefly rules the skies, the Comet brings terror from the ground. This spherical ARC rolls across the surface with deceptive calm before locking onto a target and triggering a seismic explosion. The resulting blast can scatter squads, crush formations, and amplify the chaos already caused by the storm. Resembling familiar ARC orbs, the Comet is easy to underestimate—until it detonates with devastating force.

The Hurricane condition also introduces dramatic changes to the Dam Battlegrounds map. Raiders will discover a new Controlled Access Zone, a high-risk, high-reward area teeming with Rocketeers and rare loot. Under storm conditions, navigating this zone becomes an extreme challenge even for seasoned teams, making each successful escape feel hard-earned.

Beyond environmental threats and new enemies, Shrouded Sky expands player progression with the new Surgeon-themed Raider Deck. It also adds customization options including facial hair—a fan-requested feature—featuring a free Stubble Beard for all players and additional styles through the Raider Deck and in-game store. Two fresh cosmetic armor sets, Volare and Devotee, rotate into the shop, letting Raiders face the storm in style.

The Firefly and Comet do more than increase difficulty; they transform how players approach every encounter. These new ARC variants are tuned to exploit the Hurricane’s chaos—Fireflies striking from unseen angles in low visibility, and Comets punishing poor spacing with explosive precision. Together, they demand constant communication, smarter loadouts, and heightened environmental awareness to survive.

With Shrouded Sky, ARC Raiders evolves into a harsher, more unpredictable experience that rewards adaptability and teamwork. The storm sweeping the Rust Belt signals not only a tougher battlefield but also a new standard for the co-op extraction shooter’s 2026 roadmap, setting the stage for even greater challenges still to come.
